Forensic Networking Webinar with Best Selling Author Robyn Henderson
Date: Tuesday 5 August 2008
Time:
10.30am AEST
Venue: Online
Cost: Free
To celebrate National Networking Week from 4-8 August 2008 the Australian Institute of Management is offering a free webinar featuring best-selling author and networking guru, Robyn Henderson. Hosted by AIM's own networking expert, Vivienne Anthon FAIM, Robyn will present her thoughts on the art of forensic networking and how it can make the difference in building vibrant and mutually beneficial business relationships.
Rather than just thinking it’s all about the manager, forensic networking is speaking with people who work with them to get the full picture, Robyn says. Like pieces of a jigsaw, often colleagues and workmates can provide valuable insight into the workings of a company and its managers. Forensic networking is all about the work you do before meeting the person, she explains. It requires time, effort and energy and, if done right, it can pay handsome dividends.
Complete the online registration form to secure your place. Access details will be sent to your nominated email address prior to the webinar date.

There is such a thing as the ‘small world phenomenon’ which states that everyone in the world can be reached through a short chain of social acquaintances – six degrees of separation. AIM is challenging Brisbane managers to test this theory at a unique business networking event at Palma Rosa house – a grand residence at Hamilton, less than five minutes from the CBD. Effective networking is a vital part of achieving business and personal success, yet many people choose to avoid it, or worse still, participate begrudgingly – don’t miss this opportunity to test out your networking skills with like-minded managers in a relaxed environment.
Recent AIM research revealed that managers and business owners continue to value networking as the most sought after skill for savvy and successful people.
